Do you feel stuck in some way that is beyond a fix by your logical, problem solving mind?
Ancestral constellations is a phenomenological (gotta experience it:) process that can help us gain clarity around our inherited physical and emotional patterns and beliefs, and the ways in which we unconsciously repeat behaviors that perpetuate these entanglements.
Charity Rae
Charity Rae is a Storyteller for Spirit, an Interdisciplinary Artist, and an Author. She practices shamanic journeying as a path to wisdom, returning from the other realms with messages of hope and healing. As an artist, Charity is most inspired by images and experiences that inspire wonder, heart to heart.

As creatures of habit, we unconsciously take on destructive familial patterns of anxiety, depression, and other illness as a way of belonging to our families. A child will often sacrifice their own best interests in a vain attempt to ease the suffering of a parent, grandparent or other family member. Ancestral Constellations are a way of discovering the underlying hidden loyalties that resonate across generations.
In this four-part summer series, as the sun invites us to pause, we acknowledge both the ease and unease of the season. July and August, named for Roman emperors, echo a reminder of the lineage of imperial power and its historical shadow. For many of us, summer offers a vital respite from work and routine, a chance to reconnect with our authentic selves. Yet, within this freedom often lurks the tension of an impending return to the externally imposed expectations of school and work. In these sessions, we'll explore how such external pressures and internal resistances manifest in our relational/family systems, and in response, create space to gently unravel the knots of internalized empire.

A little bit more about Ancestral Constellations
Have you ever wondered how a school of fish, or a flock of birds, can move in a swarm that turns simultaneously?
Newtonian science has repeatedly tried to prove that there must be a pheromone or signal that enables the swarm to to move in sync. But none has been found to date.
One of the most taboo scientific theories of the past forty years, Morphic Resonance, suggests that different species share a field of consciousness. Like when the string of a guitar is plucked, and its vibration alone can make the same, in tune, string vibrate on several guitars in close proximity.
Our individual consciousness isn't as individual as we might think. It is part of a resonant field of consciousness that we share with, amongst other people, our living and parted family members. Ancestral Constellations work within the reality of this field of consciousness.
Unresolved issues from past generations can continue to affect one's present reality. An unresolved trauma that is a generation or more past will continue to ripple through the oceanic unconsciousness of the living members of a family lineage. It follows that we tend to unconsciously recreate echoes of a past family trauma through our relationships and chosen life circumstances.
Sometimes the source of a trauma is clear, as in an ancestor who was a victim of war. But often the traumatic fate that befell an ancestor is not readily apparent. Whether a given ancestor was a victim or a perpetrator, the default setting for most families in most societies is to avoid taboo by association and intentionally erase the “guilty” family member from memory.
This denial of an ancestor having ever existed disturbs the consciousness field of the living members, along with the unresolved trauma that became their fate, and can perpetually manifest as systemic depression or even a specific physical ailment that runs through the generations.

You may simply want to figure out why you feel stuck in a pattern that is beyond reason, a pattern that you’ve tried to “logic” yourself out of.
Or more specifically, if you see someone in your family who you think is unhappy or unwell, someone who you might not even have an active relationship with because a part of their current process is to exclude you, or you them, then the only thing you can do is to work with yourself.
This means acceptance. But it doesn’t mean passivity. Learning to accept our worlds, and everyone in them, is an active process. When we do deep transformational work for ourselves, the healing resonates out to all members of our families. You show up for yourself, and by default, when you work with the resonance of ancestral consciousness, your inner-transformation will affect your entire family system.
In this light, “be the change you want to see in the world” becomes a formula for not only helping ourselves, but for helping humanity, beginning with our families. Sentences like, “I wish they would change,” or “I wish they would let me help them” or, “I wish they would open their heart to me again,” are very human intentions that do little to change “the way things are.” The way things are, really, is that we only have the power to change ourselves.
That’s the gist of it! If you have questions, feel free to ask, but also understand that this work is beyond conventional understanding. This is phenomenological work, work that can only be understood via experience.
